Welcome to HOPE

For the Residential (RCA) Candidate:

This is your opportunity to learn the basics of each department, as well  as employment laws and state rules governing residential licensure.  Upon completion, you will have an understanding of operations, clarity  as to "residential care" and knowledge of the specific rules on which  you will be tested by the state of Indiana via the jurisprudence exam.

For the Comprehensive (HFA) Candidate:

For HFA candidates preparing for the national CORE and NHA exams, it is  imperative to know the NAB lists multiple resources used in exam content  development.
As it is strongly recommended a candidate be familiar with content  presented in each resource, this course uses portions of those resources  to prepare students for examination.

You will be provided tools, tips, and practice test questions to better prepare you for success.

Upon completion, you will have knowledge of rules and regulations on  which you will be tested during both the NAB CORE and NHA exams, as well  as the state of Indiana jurisprudence exam.

This course will be conducted over six (6) continuous weeks of study.  The mandatory classroom will meet virtually from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Monday  through Friday, with independent study assigned to complement the  classroom training.

The first three (3) weeks will cover "CORE" issues of administration  applicable to both the RCA and HFA. The subsequent three (3) weeks will  cover the Rules of Participation specific to the HFA.

The two hundred (200) hours of completed coursework will be counted toward the number of required hours for the HFA "AIT."
